Tuesday, May 31st, 1814: Brathwaite Hot, Torpedoes Cold
Banana Brathwaite had an impressive outing today. He hurled the Punjab Poontang to a 2-0 shutout victory over the Bangalore Torpedoes, yielding 5 hits with no strikeouts and 3 walks.

"He threw strikes and he was always around the plate," the Bangalore skipper said. "The ball was doing everything he wanted it to do. We hit some balls hard, but they were all right at the fielders."

In 1814 Brathwaite has fashioned a 4-4 mark, 4.03 ERA and pitched 76 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .296 against him and he has logged 5 strikeouts.
