Saturday, June 18th, 1814: 5-5 Game for Flowers
It was a hits blitz for Merle Flowers at The Main Stage at Mumbai Fairgrounds. The Mumbai Sitar Heroes second baseman tore into Goa for 5 hits in 5 at-bats to pace Sitar Heroes to a 13-4 victory and wrote his name into the baseball record book.

The manager for the Constrictors bemoaned his pitching, saying, "We fell behind and weren't locating well. Once you get behind in the count, you have to make real good pitches, rather than good pitches, and we weren't able to do that today." He added, "Not to take anything away from Flowers, but bad location was the story of the ballgame. That's why we lost the game."

M. Flowers singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th and singled in the 7th.

Hitting .271 to date, Flowers has 7 home runs and 33 RBIs. He has played in 69 games.
